Storm in a coffee cup?

I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean it when I joked about the likelihood of extreme weather at the summer Pantry. But here we are YET AGAIN, with weather warnings of gale-force winds, damaging gusts and squally showers, worrying about the marquees, the stallholders, the customers, and driving ourselves to distraction trying to think what to do for the best, to make sure that rain (and wind) doesn’t stop play tomorrow.

We must have angered the weather gods really badly, because in nearly five years, we’ve only had one market with decent weather – look, it was of such note that I wrote about it here!

But whatever disasters befall us, The Pantry always seems to come up trumps – thanks to our fantastic volunteers, our amazing stallholders and all the loyal customers that come along, through rain, wind, hail or snow, to support us and make sure we all have a brilliant day. And of course, there’s always the coffee shop, sending out those tempting aromas of mushrooms and bacon.

So think of us this afternoon, decorating the hall in the first rain we’ve had for weeks, and make sure you come and see us tomorrow. Here’s the coffee shop menu to get you in the mood.
