Too many veggies?

Calling all allotment holders, gardeners, smallholders!

We’re hoping to make this market a truly local one, featuring Piddington-grown produce. We already feature Piddington cakes and apple juice (and of course our own village cider is now very popular at the Pop Up Pub), but at this time of year we should be able to offer some home-grown veggies too.

So if your veg crop allows, we’d love to receive donations of surplus produce to sell at the market on Saturday 20 August.

Please bring any contributions to the village hall on the day after 9.30 am.

We’ve put up the notice below on the village noticeboards, but if you know of anyone who is struggling with a glut of produce, please spread the word!

I live in a small Oxfordshire village, and am writing a blog for The Pantry, a community project to provide the village with a place to meet and to buy locally made and sourced products and to raise funds for village causes.
