Piddington Lazy Sunday

The Coffee Shop is one of the most popular features of The Pantry market, and people really do appreciate having a local place to get together over coffee and cake (or tea and a bacon bap) for a chat with friends and neighbours.

To tide us all over until the next market on 14 September, the catchily named Piddington Village Hall Management Committee (PVHMC) will be opening the Village Hall on 18 August for a Piddington Lazy Sunday. If coffee, croissants, the Sunday papers, chatting or just relaxing and letting the world go by in our lovely village sounds like your ideal Sunday morning, then why not stroll along from 10.30 am onwards – no need to rush.

If the papers are just too depressing, we’ll have our secondhand book stall, so you can escape with a romance or a thriller, or check with one of the gardening books there always seem to be so many of at The Pantry, to see what you should be doing instead.

We hope to have a mini Pantry stall, too, so you can take home a little something for later.

See you there!

I live in a small Oxfordshire village, and am writing a blog for The Pantry, a community project to provide the village with a place to meet and to buy locally made and sourced products.
